I am already missing summer listening to this. I can’t wait for winter to be gone and we can get back out on the water for some relaxing in the sun fun. I know that Christmas isn’t even here yet, but I have that itch and cannot scratch it. I might have to take a mid winter vacation with the wife to somewhere warm that is surrounded by water. February sounds like a good month for that. I am making a mental note to myself to plan this as a surprise for the wife.

Great weather
I have been loving the weather lately. It is finally starting to cool off just a little bit. It helps my crews out there working in the sun a lot. I love the time of year when you can open the windows at night and have fresh air to breath while sleeping. Between winter cold and summer heat it is rare here to be able to do that. I take full advantage of it when I can.
So hot
It has been so hot out this summer. It is making things difficult for my employees as most of them work out of doors. I have been going from jobs site to jobs site, replenishing the water coolers and have made available salt tablets for my workers. I don’t want any of them to get ill because of heat stroke, so I am trying to take good care of them. I wish there was more I could do, but I don’t think that is possible.
Slowing down at work
Well I knew it would happen, but I was really not prepared for it to happen yet. I was hoping work wouldn’t slow down until summer time. Then I would have an excuse to take the wife on a camping trip for like a week or maybe an extended vacation. I suppose that I will just have to deal with it though and find something to keep myself occupied. Perhaps I can do a little more remodeling on the house. We still have a lot we want to do to the house and now I have plenty of time to do it.
Work
I have to go put in some new bleachers at the local high school. The old ones hadn’t been replaced for a very long time and the school was worried that they could be a hazard. I was able to locate new ones at a very good price for them and they are very happy with what I found. The company I am getting them from also had a lot of other outdoor stuff as well. I am buying a few things for our back yard. We like to BBQ a lot and entertain during the summer. I have to get new picnic tables for our patio and the yard.
I am also getting some Adirondack chairs for the patio too. The ones we had got old from the weather and my wife finally just threw them away. The price is good and I like these better than the last ones. We put up a shed not too long ago to preserve our outdoor furniture and such, so these will last a lot longer then the last ones.
