I am planning Thanksgiving dinner! mmmmmm All I can think about is pie, but I know dessert should be the last thing you think about! First, we’ll have a turkey, of course, with stuffing ! My wife makes sweet potatoes with brown sugar and apples. If you’ve never tried it, you should. Then we’ll have a salad and a few vegetables and rolls. Ok, now let’s get to the PIE! I love apple pie, pecan, peach, chocolate and boston cream pie. How can I chose just one? I just realized I forgot the traditional Thanksgiving pie….pumpkin! So we may have more than just one pie this Thanksgiving!!

Fireworks and Cannons
I watched a rebroadcast of the concert on the National Mall and the fireworks in Washington, DC. They had the National Symphony play the 1812 Overture at the beginning of the fireworks display and had live cannons firing during the music with the fireworks overhead. It was inspiring. I would love to be there to hear that live, in person, one year.
