I have been thinking about last years storms and decided to invest in a generator as a preventative measure. Last year we lost power a bunch of times and it was out for over twenty four hours on more than one occasion. A generator will keep our good from going bad in the fridge as well as enable us to cook and have hot water. The hot water is really important to us, as we absolutely hate cold showers. I know some people can take a cold shower and not care, but the wife and I are definitely not one of them.

I am going to get one for my parents house as well. My mom is going to be ecstatic about it. She has been telling dad they need a generator for a long time. Dad doesn’t like to spend money on stuff like that because he is a little old school. As far as he is concerned, they didn’t need them when he was growing up, so why do they need one now.
