One of the contracts we are doing with work is a new doctors office. When we bid the job, my wife included a bid to order and set up all of the furniture needed. This includes those computer carts that they use in the individual rooms. She is very good at this kind of thing, since she works in the medical field. It adds a little more to our services that we would not usually do and she really enjoys it.
My computer seems to be lagging. I think I need to speed up my pc a little bit. I haven’t done the regular maintenance I usually do lately either. Most of the time, I keep on top of it. I have been really busy though and just haven’t had time. I will get on that right now and not waste another moment.
Does anyone have any experience with the new cloud computing? My boss told me look into it. He thinks it will be cheaper than having a network in our office and that it would make collaboration easier. I don’t think we can give up the office network though. We need it for emails, printing, etc. But I like the idea of accessing the cloud from anywhere – home, a hotel room, a business meeting off site, etc.
He wants to give it a trial run using word processing and spreadsheets. Then, if that works out, we can start trying databases applications and presentations. I think it is kinda cool that someone from that generation is embracing new concepts in computing.
