The camping trip is set

We will be able to leave for our camping trip next Friday. I cannot wait to get to the great outdoors. We are taking a large group of people and will head to the mountains for the weekend. My wife and I will take both trucks so we can pull the trailer with the boat and the fourwheelers as well. I have everything ready to go, all we need to do this coming week is a little grocery shopping and that will be it.

My newphew is going with us as well and is bringing a couple of friends with him. I hope they will be ready in time. I am sure that they will be though, as they are all really excited about the trip too. I know that everyone is happy that winter has finally released it’s hold on us. One more week, then we are gone. I can’t wait.

Almost over

Winter is almost over and I am so happy. I cannot wait until boating season, and fishing season, and camping season. I am sick of the cold weather already. I cleaned out the garage and got everything prepped and ready for a trip of any kind as soon as the weather permits. There have been warm days already, but usually it is raining and they are always during the week. The weekends are always cold, cold, cold. I think a camping/fishing trip will be first on the agenda. Just little while longer and then we can go. My wife is excited too, because she loves to camp and fish as well.

Hunting trip

Well the time has come to break out the Big Agnes camping gear and take off for the annual hunting trip. My father and my brothers, as well as a few friends make our annual camping/hunting trip at this time of year, every year. This year will be no exception. We have already chosen where we will go this year, and need only to pack up and get on the road. We will be gone for a week. I cannot wait. It is my favorite time to spend with my dad and brothers. Just the guys, out in the big wild. I don’t even care if we bag anything or not.

Almost ready

I have almost everything ready for tomorrow. I put this together rather quickly, but it is working out well. We are taking the canoe’s with us in the back of the truck and trailering the four wheeler’s behind us. A bunch of the women are bringing dishes so that we don’t have to bring it all ourselves. I just had to get the drinks, chips, dip and the meat.

I will dry rub some of it today as well as make the patty’s for the hamburgers, then freeze those over night. They will keep better that way and I wont have to do it while I am there. I am also picking up my nephews tonight to spend the night with me in the tent out at the lake. If we don’t we won’t get a good spot tomorrow morning. Anyway, have a good one and Happy Labor Day!
