Should have stayed in bed

I can see today is going to be a bad day. Already it has been horrible. Everyone I have come into contact with since I left the house, has been in a bad mood and just plain nasty. It seems like everyone at work is in a bad mood as well. Not that they get nasty with my, but you understand what I am saying. No one seems to want to be here today. No one seems to have wanted to leave home today period. The people at the gas station were in a bad mood as well as the other customers.

There was almost an altercation in the parking lot at the gas station as I was leaving. Fortunately, a cop just happened to pull in for his coffee (I’m guessing) and the people went to their own cars and left. Part of my just wants to go home and go back to bed. I am praying the day gets better.

Migraine

Every once in a while, I get an awful migraine. I hate taking pills though, so I have been looking for a way to get rid of the Migraine drug free. That will be a tremendous help to me as I end up in bed with the drapes closed for two days or more. I can’t even drive when I have one.  I am certainly glad that it doesn’t happen that often though, because I have  a business to run.

Spare bedroom

We have two spare bedrooms. One has a double bed in it and the other has been used for storage of some minor stuff and most of that is in the closet. Since we are having our nephews for the weekend, we have decided to make the bedroom into a room for them. We are going to put in a bunk bed for them. It has been a long time since we have had them over for weekend visits and we want to rectify that.  We used to have them over all the time and somehow that kind of stopped. I suppose life got so busy that we just didn’t have time and forgot how much we enjoy our time with them.

A bunk bed is so much better for them, because they can feel like they have their own space while they are here.  I am going to go get them a TV as well, so if they want to watch cartoons in the morning before everyone else is up, they can without waking us. They tend to get up very early. I was going to let them pick put the bunk bed but then it wouldn’t be here for this weekend and that will not do. I want everything ready for their visit.

Redecorating

Well the wife decided to redecorate the bedroom. She started with the bed. I don’t know why women have to change things so often, but I don’t get involved unless she asks me for my opinion or needs my help moving something. She bought Bed Skirts and Mattress Covers first. She said we needed new mattress covers because we hadn’t changed them in a long time. The bed skirt matches the new bed spread she bought and the curtains for the windows. Apparently she wanted a completely new look in there.

She even bought Satin Pillow Cases. Those are just going to slide off of the bed I think. I am not laughing, I swear I am not. She doesn’t put satin bed sheets, because the last time I told her I needed to tie myself to the bed to keep from sliding off of it. I ribbed her about it but I didn’t really care.

Everything is bigger in Texas

The saying that everything is bigger in Texas is actually true. The horses are bigger, the houses are bigger and the hats are most certainly bigger. When I moved here in high school I was certain that my parents were completely deranged for making us move to the desert from our cool place in Los Angeles. After being here for many years now I have really grown to love the place. Everyone who I know that comes here from out of town to visit just loves it. They really enjoy the southern hospitality that still exists here even in 2012. I enjoy when people come in from out of town because I have a bed and breakfast in town where people love to stay. I advertise online using my access with t1.xo and have had great success with having the place booked for most weekends and almost every day during the summer. We have been so successful with this bed and breakfast that we are considering opening another one in a neighboring town. I can’t wait!
