Now we will have to find some replacement windows in virginia beach and have someone install them. We do have a person that is paid to keep an eye on the place, and he will have to be there when they are fixed. In the mean time, he has boarded them up well and so far everything is okay. I can only hope it stays that way. The local police have agreed to drive by a couple of times a day and make sure no one takes advantage of the situation.

I cannot wait to get to the great outdoors. We are taking a large group of people and will head to the mountains for the weekend. My wife and I will take both trucks so we can pull the trailer with the boat and the fourwheelers as well. I have everything ready to go, all we need to do this coming week is a little grocery shopping and that will be it.

My newphew is going with us as well and is bringing a couple of friends with him. I hope they will be ready in time. I am sure that they will be though, as they are all really excited about the trip too. I know that everyone is happy that winter has finally released it’s hold on us. One more week, then we are gone. I can’t wait.

The weather has gotten so good and work is speeding along at a great pace. We have already caught up on everything that was behind. The rain had kept us from pouring cement on a couple of jobs, but that is no longer a problem. I have four new jobs waiting for the crews to start and can even do some hiring as well. These new jobs are very large and will help employment in my area in a major way. Construction has been down a bit over the winter, but is looking much better now. My staff is ecstatic over this as much as I am. Things are definitely looking up for the spring and summer months.

It’s not far enough to justify an airplane trip, but her car has decided to make some funny noises and there is no way I will have it fixed in time for her to go. I found some good car rental deals though and that will suffice. Her boss has decided to pay for the rental, so it will not come out of our pockets. I am just going to put her car in the shop while she is gone and be done with it. I am sure it is nothing major, but really don’t want to mess with it myself at this time.

This trip is an annual trip she takes to inspect a factory they use for some of their products. it is about five hours away in a very small town, hence the reason she drives there. She likes to take road trips anyway and this gives her an excuse to go on one all by herself. She says it is relaxing to be away from the office and be able to just unwind on the way to the factory. I have offered to go with her a few times, but she always declines.

I do worry about her on the road, but she is a big girl and can take care of herself. She can change a flat tire and anything else she has AAA for. I will miss her but it is only a week, so she won’t be gone long.

I certainly liked the music a lot better back then. Of course that could just be because of the memories they bring. Don’t get me wrong, there is plenty of good music now, but songs like this take me back to skating rinks and swimming in the creek. So anyway, I thought I would share with you. They are from our trip there with the family a few months ago and took forever. Apparently we forgot to give them the address here to send them to and then forgot we had them done. I cannot believe we gorgot about them. It was my wife who remembered the other week when we had dinner at my parents house. We go to talking about the trip and she asked about the pictures. My mom said, ” Oh gosh! I forgot all about them!” So they called the next day and the studio were really happy to hear from us. They had wondered what had happened. We were supposed to pick them up before we left, which is why they didn’t have our address here. Go figure.

I have been working on it for so long, it seemed as if I would never finish it. Other then some cosmetic stuff I want to do, it will be ready to go mudding in time for spring. I am really excited about this, because I cannot wait to hit the mud pits. I am also condiering taking it down to Florida for the MuddyGras in Central Florida. It is one of the largest mudding get togethers there are. Of course, I will have to trailer it down there, but that is no problem either. We will make it one way or another. There has been nothing but rain, and just when it clears up and the ground dries up, it rains again. That makes it very difficult to pour concrete. Other then that, I have had a lot of new contracts for us and the spring and summer work looks to be really good this year. There is a lot of building and reconstruction going on. I am certainly glad we do a little bit of everything. It keeps us busy when everyone else is floundering.

This morning my wife had put the package in the kitchen so I wouldn’t miss it. So I guess that is one ray of sunlight in my day today. For that I am happy.

Already it has been horrible. Everyone I have come into contact with since I left the house, has been in a bad mood and just plain nasty. It seems like everyone at work is in a bad mood as well. Not that they get nasty with my, but you understand what I am saying. No one seems to want to be here today. No one seems to have wanted to leave home today period. The people at the gas station were in a bad mood as well as the other customers.

There was almost an altercation in the parking lot at the gas station as I was leaving. Fortunately, a cop just happened to pull in for his coffee (I’m guessing) and the people went to their own cars and left. Part of my just wants to go home and go back to bed. I am praying the day gets better.
