Back to Football and Hockey   no comments

The best thing about September is that we finally get back to the football games and hockey games. I love Monday night football and I always find a way to get to a dozen or so hockey games. These games on my big HDTV flat screen on the weekends are what make working all week worthwhile.

More Playoffs   no comments

Well my favorite team didn’t win their playoff game so they are out of it. Now I have to cheer for my second pick and they don’t have a very good record in playoffs. So I am cautiously optomistic about the Cardinals winning their game. I think the Steelers and the Ravens are stronger teams. Nastier defense players anyway – they take a lot of cheap shots and really try to hurt the other guys, not just tackle them for the sake of the play. I don’t like that. It’s not a prissy game by any means, but it’s not about thuggery, either. Whatever happened to good sportsmanship? Why don’t these guys get it?

This weekend is big doings for football fans. I have cleared the deck so there are no errands that have to be run and no distractions planned for the 8 hours of football games tomorrow and Sunday. I want to focus on the football games and enjoy myself – chores can wait. After all, there are only a few weekends owth football left and then a long drought until August and next year’s preseason games.

Jimmy Dean Commercials   no comments

Not sure but I think the brand of sausage by Jimmy Dean is available all over the country. If so, then maybe everyone has seen the commercials which are a riot. The commercials are all centered around a guy dressed up as the Sun, hanging out in his home or his office and helping his friends and associates, like the moon and the rainbow, be their best because he encourages them to eat a good breakfast that include Jimmy Dean sausages.

It’s a laugh but a great idea. The skits keep coming with new ideas, too.
