Super Bowl Party Plans no comments
We are making plans for the big Super Bowl Party. My buddy, Jeremy, is having the party at his place. He has this really nice condo downtown with a big community room that can be used by the residents. He booked the party room, which is really sweet. It has a 52 inch flatscreen TV, theater seating and a full kitchen, bathrooms and even an area off to the side with a pool table. I love that party room better than any other friends with a man cave.
So the rest of us are pitching in to cover the food and beverages. I told him I would spring for a keg, pick it up and deliver it an hour before the game. My girlfriend, Janice, is going to cook about $100 worth of chicken wings and bring them on a huge platter with 4 different kinds of sauce. You know, you can get a lot of chicken wings if you buy them at the Sam’s Club and cook them yourself.
It’s probably going to be too cold to barbecue or grill anything. But we do need more food than just chicken wings. I hope someone bring s a party platter from Subway or something substantial. We are going to need good food to keep this party going.
Old Trophies no comments
Last time I visited my mom’s house, she gave me a big box of stuff that she found in the garage. It was a bunch of old model car kits, some old spray paint cans, and all my old baseball trophies.
It’s kind of cool to see the trophies again. They meant a lot to me when I was playing Little League. I don’t have any place to put them out in my house right now, but I might go buy a wall shelf and put it up in the living room to keep my trophies on.
Vancouver Olympics no comments

The winter Olympics are being held in Vancouver this year. The winter sports includes some of my favorite competitions, such as ice hockey and downhill skiing. I’ve never been to Vancouver but would really like to find a way to go there soon. I bet there is plenty of things to see and do, even after the Olympics are finished.
Must Win for the Titans no comments
Each game for the last 3 weeks we have had a “Must Win” game for our Titans team. And each game they have lost. This team has not got it together this year at all.
So this weekend is either the last of the “Must Win” games or the start of every game after this one all being “Must Wins.” We’ll see if they can find a miracle to win this game or if we will write off the whole season with another loss.
Back to Football and Hockey no comments
The best thing about September is that we finally get back to the football games and hockey games. I love Monday night football and I always find a way to get to a dozen or so hockey games. These games on my big HDTV flat screen on the weekends are what make working all week worthwhile.
