Storm victims

I am worried about the storm victims from Hurricane Sandy. There are so many still without power and the winter cold has gotten much worse for them. I cannot believe some of the things I am seeing on the news about it. This is just unbelievable. I cannot see how the local government up there is allowing this to happen. These people need help and you would think that they would welcome help from elsewhere, but they are not. All I can do is shake my head and pray that someone uses some common sense soon.

News

I am officially not watching the news for a while. Every time I turn it on, there is nothing but bad news. Quite frankly I am tired of always seeing bad news. What happened to the good stories? Stories of people helping each other and babies being born. They just aren’t there anymore. So in light of that, I will leave off of the news for a little while and read a book instead.

The race

Well the race yesterday was a little disappointing. Jr spun out and lost a lot of position right at the end of the race and was unable to recoup it in time. It knocked him back in points to number four, from number one. Hopefully next week will be better and he can pull back up. Cross your fingers and pray he does better next week.

Horses and girls

My brother bought my niece a horse and she is now going to be taking riding lessons. We all kind of spoil her, so I am going to buy her some equestrian apparel. That will make her very happy. I love to surprise her with stuff like that. My brother and I are going to surprise her with the horse and the clothes as soon as they arrive. I can’t wait to see the look on her face.
