It’s Hot no comments
With this heat wave, it gets very hard to be motivated enough to cut the grass and do other chores outdoors.
It seems that most of the country is having a very hot summer, with record setting high temperatures all along the East Coast and throughout the southeast. The temperature has been above 90 degrees since the third week of May. We may well set a new record for the number of consecutive days with temperatures above 90 degrees.

Usually I am one of the first adopters when it comes to technical things. I am so very interested in computers and the internet, and I work with computers and telephones all day. So, unfortunately, when I get home after a hard day at work, the last thing I want to do is get online again and work on the computer at home. So I have avoided signing up for Facebook.
My wife has been on Facebook for several months and she loves it. So after a lot of nagging gentle prodding by my wife, I decided to bite the bullet and get onto Facebook. So far, it is easy to use and pretty interesting. But I need to search out “friends” to make it work.
New Neighbors no comments
Looks like someone new is moving in a few doors down. There isĀ Budget Rental truck parked in the yard. I can’t see any people moving about from my living room window. Maybe in a little while I will walk down there and say hello.
State of Nashville no comments
Finally. Today the sun has come out and we are finished with the marathon rains. There is a slight breeze, just a few puffy clouds in the sky, and the temperature is around 70 degrees. This is perfect camping weather.
I got gas this morning at the station closest to my house for $2.13 a gallon. I bet it is among the lowest prices in the area. In the “Land of Plenty” gas is still around $2.46.
The leaves have started turning color and are already falling. I’m ready for football and chili.
