The only truck that is more famous than this one is the Original BigFoot truck. It was the first of it’s kind and has given more joy to children and adults then any other Monster Truck ever made.

One of the new jobs I got the contract for wants stainless steel tiles in the foyer of the building. It is going to look great. I have never put these in before, but it shouldn’t be too difficult. I will of course read up on this procedure to make sure it goes in right. I have a great crew working for me though, so I am not worried about it. Stainless steel tile is really amazing. I can see this building looking good for a very very long time.

I really like the look of this stainless steel tile. I may just have to put some in my office too. I am going to enjoy this project as I always like to learn something new, and everyday is an adventure with this company. We always have something new to learn or something new going on. I will have to show my dad this new one. He may be retired, but every now and then he comes and works with me to get out of the house. He will definitely like this one. My father always likes to work with new materials and such. I can’t blame him for that as I do as well. We are going to have a bit of fun with this.

My cousin moved to the UK a while back for work and married an English dude, so she decided to stay. Well they just had their first baby. so I am sending them flowers in Cardiff to express our happiness at their new found joy. My Aunt and Uncle flew over there for the birth and called to let us know how everything went. It is a bouncing baby boy at 9lbs. 10 oz. They are naming him Reginald or Reggie for short. When I talked to my cousin, she promised to post pictures on Facebook as soon as possible, even though my Aunt sent some to my phone.

I think we will plant a tree for little Reggie, now that he has arrived. Then one day when he comes to visit, we can show it to him. I think that will make him happy. I will tend it and send pictures to him as he grows, so that he knows we are thinking of him here too. I hope they come to visit soon, I really miss my cousin.

Dad is taking mom on a vacation to discover her roots. We are of Scottish ancestry and mom has always been fascinated with it. She wants to trace our family line and they are going to spend a month in Scotland doing just that. Although they haven’t decided where they intend to stay. They are looking first for Flats to rent Glasgow , since we know that some of our people came from that area.

There are other areas that are also of interest and they are looking for Flats to rent Edinburgh to have access to records, but have to look for Flats to rent Aberdeen as well. We found out from an old diary that we have some family from there as well. My grandmother has been a font of knowledge for my mom. She remembers everything about the family and has so much information stored in her memory, that it is amazing considering her age. I know my mom is going to love this trip.

While getting a haircut today, I was sitting next to a nice woman, Gail, who was talking about home schooling with another woman in the waiting area. Not that I intended to eavesdrop, but they were talking across the room loudly and everyone could hear.

Turns out that she was having so much trouble with her public school about her son with ADHD and she could not afford a private school, that she withdrew him from school and is home schooling her son by herself. She had gone to college to be a teacher but had gotten married to someone in the military and they traveled so much that she could never take a job as a full time teacher.

Now they have settled in this area and their son is struggling with a lot of attention issues, which the teachers complain are disruptive. I thought that the schools were required to provide this child with the education suited to his needs. I do not agree with the idea that disruptive students must be sent home for homeschooling. Not every parent is equipped with the skills to teach their own children – many have jobs that they need to support their families and cannot stay home with their children.

I am going to have to get in touch with my local congressmen and see what is being done to help these children.

Everyone knows that California is having huge financial problems as a state. There have been all kinds of government services cut or eliminated. Now the local government of the City of Oakland, California is considering closing 14 of its 18 public libraries. So the locals decided to have a little protest. A handful of protesters put on makeup and declared themselves to be zombies. The zombies marched along a main street in Oakland with signs about needing brains and libraries. It was pretty weird.

I believe the source has been changing over the years. It used to be radio, then TV, the daily newspapers and the internet. Not sure it was in that order – sorry. Anyway, I wonder if people count on the internet now more than any other sources?

The problem is that there are no trucks available! This is evidently the big week that everyone goes back to college and all the trucks are rented out to college bound kids. He called all over town and no go. So I guess they have to wait a bit for their big move.
