Friday Night Party no comments
This whole month is big for company Christmas parties. Everyone grabs up the best restaurants and clubs for their private parties. And let’s face it, if you work someplace and they throw a party, you pretty much HAVE to go to the party. So that makes the regular places either closed to the public or all your friends are gone to their company functions.
My company is going to do a daytime thing for all the employees. We’re closing at noon on the Tuesday before Christmas for an afternoon of food and a gift exchange. Then we are closed for the next three week days plus the weekend. So anyone who has to go out of town gets a nice long break for traveling.
So what to do tonight? I think I’ll go down to Dave & Busters and see if anyone wants to take me on a few video games or maybe bowl a few. There’s usually some of my crew hanging thee and I don’t even have to change clothes after work. I can just go on over and have a brewski until the rest of them show up.

One of the first things I learned about life in the South is that you greet people, especially friends, with “Hey!”
And the first thing you say when someone you are calling answers their phone, “What are ya doin’?”
My family moved to Middle Tennessee back in the 1990′s, so this is the most like home than any of the other places we lived. I like it here and plan to stay forever unless a very very good reason comes into my life in the future.
I have a good job, a nice place to live, a couple good dogs and a lot of friends my age to hang out with or hook up with. So, it’s all good here and I thought I’d write about it on my blog when I have time to type it out and run the spell check.
Enjoy!
